Lazertran is a unique transfer paper developed for the school market. It comprises an ultra-thin, plastic layer bonded to soft paper which after printing, can be stripped off and transferred to other surfaces. The effects are many and varied since it can be adhered to glass, ceramic, metal, wood, fabrics such as cotton, silk and linen, and oil and acrylic painted surfaces, as well as paper.
The process is a form of colour pigment transfer which makes use of the relatively stable colour photocopy toner dyes. Available in two styles; regular, and ultra-thin for applying to silk fabric.
A good quality proofing and drawing paper in a warm cream colour – not bright white. Wood-free and acid-free. This paper is ‘environmentally friendly’, made from grown crops like Esparto Grass. Naturally, it costs a little more than recycled wood cartridge paper. The warmth of this paper makes it an excellent choice for all drawing, as well as a good proofing paper for etching and relief printing. Measures 59x84cm. 150gsm.
These brushes are known in France as ‘petit-gris’. They have long been famous for the ability to take up liquid and hold it for long continuous marks and lines without having to return to the watercolour pan to reload the brush. The hairs are hollow and take up liquid like a straw in the unique hair cross-section.
