Blotters – Imported
These double-weight, double-size blotters are like those in USA where blotters are used over again in contrast to our Australian ‘throwaway’ desk-type blotters. Although more expensive initially, they do not bulge and self-destruct and with due care can be more economic over a period in a printmaking department.
Hahnemuhle German Etching
This German paper has carved out a special niche in Australia, especially for aquatints. It contains no rag, being made from alpha cellulose and comes in warm white, creamish buff and bright white. Also available in rolls of 350gsm, measuring 124cm x 20 metres long. Bright white or white in colour.
Schut Etching (Dutch Etching)
These papers have been especially tailored to Australian specifications by the Schut paper mill in Holland. Sited over an old spring, this 300-year-old mill is Holland’s oldest, and the main mill manufacturing quality rag papers for artists. This paper has been made especially for editioners and etchers. It is off-white in shade and 100% cotton with neutral pH. The heavier weight gives it a measure of buckle resistance upon framing, especially important in etchings.
These 100% cotton papers are made in USA. They are acid-free and offer excellent prices for students of printmaking and drawing. The relatively smooth surface makes these papers ideal for etching and relief printing, screen-printing and monoprinting, as well as mixed media work and drawing. Available in several weights and colours. Packs of 50.
